I come into the Office at a time when Kenyans are expecting serious and far reaching reforms as the new Constitution is implemented.

The aspirations of Kenyans in the new Constitution are amongst other things to have a Kenya where there are checks and balances in her governance,where there is an expectation of transparency and accountability in the management of public resources,and where leadership is guided by integrity,objectivity and impartiality.

The Auditor-General's office will be an important Governance pillar going forward,to continually assure Kenyans that public resources are safeguarded from misuse and above all employed efficiently and effectively for the benefit of all Kenyans.
